ABOUT
LOCAL71 was founded in 2023 by Steve Alderson after 20+ years leading property developer Argent and Related Argent’s marketing and placemaking successes.
This experience allows LOCAL71 to plan and implement marketing and communications across the timeline of planning and consultation, start-on-site and construction, leasing and sales, placemaking and enlivenment and ultimately long-term asset management.
LOCAL71’s approach is born from a ‘one team’ approach, working closely with your internal staff and expert creative agencies; nurturing, supporting and motivating everyone as equals to deliver best-in-class.
Backstory
With an early career born from consultancies specialising in economic development, planning, landscape architecture and initially at local authority, Steve leads LOCAL71 with a uniquely rounded perspective to the entire development lifecycle.
Below are two case studies from Steve’s previous employment:
King’s Cross, London
(2002-2020)
A worldwide best-in-class ‘regeneration to destination’ example.
As Marketing Director, Steve led Argent and Argent Related’s marketing and placemaking from the consultation and planning, development and construction and eventual estate and asset management lifecycle.
Established King’s Cross as a central London visitor destination through marketing and placemaking strategies implemented by an internal creative team and external creative agencies to deliver commercial lettings, sales and year-round event, exhibition and activation programmes.
BRENT CROSS TOWN, London
(2018-2022)
A new Zone 2 urban centre eight minutes from central London.
As Head of Marketing for Brent Cross, Steve led the brand and positioning narrative, and subsequent on-the-ground implementation for a new London suburb.
Defining marketing and communications strategy, budgets and process in the creation of the narrative around ‘A Park Town for Future London’.
Implementation and management of external agencies to deliver the real-world application of this narrative for the promotion, leasing and sales teams, including a marketing suite and satellite office, construction interfaces, and print and digital environments.
